"Keep trying, hold on, and always always always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will sweetie? So keep your head high, your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing & there's so much to smile about." -Marilyn Monroe

Those certian kinds of people..
You know those certain kinds of people, that at one point you were so close with? The ones that you did everything with and you really didn't think anything about your relationship with that person could change. Then one day, you wake up and realize that the person you knew so well is drifting away from you. You're losing them, just watching them become closer with other people. The jealousy of that new realtionship your old friend and a new person have sinks into your heart; you feel like there is nothing you can do to make them want to even associate with you anymore. It hurts so bad; you miss that person dearly. I'm sure everyone goes through that experience at least once in their life. You can't help but think about your old friends and miss them. I know everyday I always think something along the lines of, "I remember when and her did this, we had so much fun."
But even though I go through this emotional hurt constantly, I've got to remember it is all in God's plan. I need to realize that God seperated our paths so that I can move on to bigger and better things. He's been trying to prove to me that I don't need that person in my life. That she's not a good influence on me. So why have I been reluctant to listen to Him? I have been in denial. But now I see that she'a not what I need in my life, and I'm ready to believe that.. no matter how badly it hurts. I hope only the best for her.

My Daily Rant...
Society is wrong, dead wrong. It tells us how we have to look; skinny, clear-skinned, tan, with stunning eyes, and gorgeous hair. It tells us how we have too be successful; to spend all of our precious time trying to get ahead, so that we can survive in this world. It tells us how we need to act; always sociable, going out and meeting new poeple, gossiping to make friends. Most of us listen to these rules and regualtions so we can "fit in" with everyone else. So we can do what the rest of the world is doing.
But what does God call us to do? What is God's standards of being beatiful? The Bible says,"Your beaty should NOT come from outward adornment such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." 1 Pet. 3:3-4 What is God's standard of success? In Ecclesiastes 2:11, a man explains that success on this world is pointless. It says,"Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun." And what does God have to say about all the gossip that is so popular in our world today? "He who guards his lips guards his life; but he who speaks rashly will come to ruins." So what am I trying to say here? Well, to be followers of Christ, you're going to have to be a little different from society. I mean ALOT different. In the words of Craig Groeschel (author of the book Weird; because normal isn't working) you are going to have to get WEIRD. And yes, that may be a scary thought for people who are so used to fitting in! God calls us a life of weirdness. For it says in the Bible, "...If you do nor stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all." Isaiah 7:9 So, let's all get a little weird.
